3D toothpicks

last weeks for maths we did something fun and we made 3D shapes out of toothpicks and blue tack. The shapes I made were the rectangular prism, pyramid, cube, triangular prism, Hexagon, pentagon and a octagon. It was fun then when we were finished we made a table and we wrote how many faces the shape had corners and the edges. but it was hard to make the shape out of the toothpicks. My next learning steps is to make other shape from toothpicks. Here is the table that we made.

My fun Maori Pepeha

This week for Maori language week we made our very own Pepeha. When we wrote it we had to write about our self in Maori and then we had to translate it into English. We could also put up some photos about our self like your country flag. what I learnt was how to write Maori words because I am not Maori I also learnt how to say Maori words and it was a lot of fun because I know how to say Maori words but it was also hard because some words I did not know how to pronounce. My Next learning steps is to maybe to learn more Maori words and to make a pepeha in the future and for the whole week we got to do quizzes and I have 50 Maori words  because in the quiz we had to do ten words. you can also don a quiz at joinmyquiz.com.
